About This Role
The Treasury organization is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to support Carrier’s transformation into a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
Excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to join the Carrier Treasury organization as an Associate Director of Capital Markets. This role is highly dynamic and will support with strategic planning and execution of various Capital Markets transactions, M&A, liquidity and risk management, and internal capital optimization opportunities. The position will work in collaboration with the global treasury operations team, as well as key stakeholders at WHQ and across the businesses and functions throughout Carrier.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement treasury strategies to optimize the company's liquidity, funding, and investment activities.
Develop or review financial models and analyses to support with key strategic capital markets decisions including investment strategy, capital structure, and planning initiatives.
Lead complex capital markets transactions and processes across multiple stakeholders.
Support broader Carrier M&A initiatives from a Treasury perspective, including acquisitions, due diligence, integration efforts, and divestitures.
Develop investment strategies and guidelines for managing the Company's excess cash and short-term investments.
Evaluate and execute investment opportunities, including money market instruments, fixed-income securities, and other financial assets, as the corporate investment policies allow.
Partner closely with our risk management / derivatives team to assess and implement non-regular course derivatives to support broader optimization efforts.
Partner closely with our risk management / derivatives function to identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and counterparty credit risks.
Develop and implement mitigating risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
Assess and lead internal capital optimization opportunities (e.g., supply chain financing, service models, sale-leaseback).
Develop and maintain relationships with Carrier banking partners and rating agencies, and understand and update various leverage models.
Support and assess liability management and share repurchase program initiatives.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Treasury function.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business
10+ years of treasury and/or corporate finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, CTP, CPA, CFA (preferred, but not required)
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and build relationships at all levels of seniority within the Treasury organization and across all functions within an organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and high energy environment, and prioritize and execute key initiatives
Excellent analytical ability and able to identify opportunities
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong commercial perspective
Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
Deep understanding of financial markets, banking products, and investment instruments
Prior experience in Treasury Capital Markets at a global organization
Strong business acumen and creative problem-solving skills
Able to multitask and have excellent organizational and project/time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record as a team player
Active participant in career development and succession planning processes
Desire to work with others and share responsibilities across the team

Pay Range:
