Job Description:

Carrier has an opening for an experienced Control Algorithm Engineer to serve as a vital member of the SCE (System Control Engineering) team based in Shanghai, China. The SCE team is responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art dynamic modeling and controls tool that are used by global engineering centers for Carrier’s air-conditioning and refrigeration system design and controller development.

• Provide expertise in Fundamental analytical skills on control theory
• Lead Control algorithm development, control system architecture design and controller verification process like Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) processes.
• Participate in global multidisciplinary projects, ensuring on-time and high quality deliverables.
• Other work items arranged by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• MS or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical or Control Engineering with 0+ year experience.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.
• Fundamental analytical skills on control theory
• Hands on experience of control system development

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Control Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Expertise in controller development software tools like Matlab/Simulink, C/C++.
• Expertise in Control algorithm development and control system architecture design
• Controller verification process experience like Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) processes.
• Understand thermo-fluid system dynamic analysis
• Project execution and leadership experience.
• Solid technical writing, presentation, project management and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial attitude towards innovation.
