About the role
Define, Improve and Implement SIOP Process for BU’s across Carrier with focus on Demand Planning and Demand-supply balancing. Support the implementation of SC Digital tools. Run Analysis on supply chain performance and analyze SIOP metrics.
Overview:
Leads in the establishment of plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required.
Spearheads the development of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
Leads in the establishment of continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.
Knowledge of SIOP, Demand planning/ forecasting, Inventory Management, Supply planning, Capacity planning processes.
Excellent Analytical skills
Major responsibilities include but not limited to:
Work with Business teams to map and As-IS Demand-Supply Planning process and define To-Be process based on industry leading practices.
Conduct workshops to train business users on Demand-Supply Planning process and use of digital tools.
Translate Demand-Supply Planning business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using statistical and machine learning methods
Work with the business team to produce the required data when it is not available
Present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answer questions about the inputs and outputs of Demand Forecasting systems and improve their performance
Communicate verbally and in writing to business customers with various levels of knowledge, educating them on Demand-Supply Planning as well as sharing insights and recommendations
Support decision making by providing requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, pipelines, and metrics then using them to analyze trends and find root causes
Formalizing assumptions about how demand forecasts are expected to behave, creating definitions of outliers, developing methods to systematically identify these outliers, and explaining why they are reasonable or identifying fixes for them
Support the Demand and Supply Review process for the business
Assist business teams to evaluate forecasting results by reviewing historical sales trends and researching demand drivers.
Qualifications:
6-10 years in demand planning / demand management role.
Good understanding of demand forecasting and SIOP business processes
Experience of S&OP roll out and/or Demand Planning Transformation projects is preferable
Exposure to Supply chain digital tools is preferable (Rapid Response, Analplan etc)
Experience in managing improvement Projects
Strong problem-solving skills
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
Hands on with Analytics tools such Python, R, SQL.
Effective communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.
Results oriented focused individual with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
Ability to handle multiple project assignments in a timely manner
Ability to work in cross functional teams
Ability to identify opportunities by analyzing large datasets in multiple formats
Data management
Familiar with JDE and SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or comparable ERP system is preferable
Supply chain certification APICS etc would be preferred.
Exposure to AWS environment - Sagemaker etc desirable.
