About the role
The Channel Manager will be responsible for developing channel strategies, managing partner relationships, monitoring channel performance, and resolving conflicts. They play a key role in driving sales and ensuring channel success. Effective channel management can optimize distribution networks, ensuring products reach the right markets at the right time. This helps in reducing costs and enhancing overall efficiency. Channel management is vital for companies to establish strong partnerships with distributors, retailers, or online platforms. Effective channel management can increase market share and customer satisfaction.
About the role
- Understand and maintain / contribute to the product roadmap, also follow on related technologies, trends and innovative solutions (e.g. AI and data analytics) being implemented on the across the industry, particularly Asia Pacific focused solutions (include Japan, China and South Asia Pacific markets).
- Perform as digital product owner to define/build/iterate/operate digital products, solutions and platforms related to RLC HVAC and smart home, smart building use cases.
- Coordinate ideation sessions with RLC HVAC product managers (from different Carrier brands) and business process (e.g. aftermarket and service) owners to define business use cases, and lead the validation and iteration sessions on the product and solutions concepts, with potential users and customers, drive the exploration & iteration of digital business models.
- Analyze the impact, scope, and technical dependencies for user stories, work closely with business stakeholders, solution architect, development teams and external partners to translate business requirements into detailed digital requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders on functional requirements prioritization, and develop product roadmap to maximize value delivery.
- Drive and facilitate the product/solution development teams/vendors to design, architect, develop, deploy, test and iterate digital solutions, and ensure timely, quality and cost-effective solution delivery in agile approach.
- Monitor, coordinate and measure the project execution progress and deliver periodical review & report with key stakeholders.
- Continuously and proactively improves the quality of service delivered to all customers, external, internal and business owners.
- Lead the preparation of product manuals, operation processes and playbooks for digital product adoption and management, together with business stakeholder and cross-functional teams.
- Promote digital mindset and agile development methodology, share and leverage the internal/external best practices, help to accelerate use case scale-up together with key stakeholders to deliver commercial value.
- Hold regular exchange and networking with peers from different BUs and regions to for experience sharing and ‘synchronize’ the value creation and solution development efforts, etc.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Education background in computer science, software engineering, information technology, engineering or marketing degree preferred.
- 8+ year in MNC company and hands-on product ownership / management, demonstrating successful development and delivery of product strategies for APAC market.
- Multiple digital project experiences with IoT applications and digital solutions relevant to device connectivity, remote monitoring solution and equipment fleet management solutions. Experience on smart home or HVAC related projects is a plus.
- Hands-on digital product and solutions delivery experience, contributed as the product management role.
- Proven capability and track records of vendor management and project based on Agile/Scrum/Lean methodologies.
- Result-oriented, strong commitment to drive business value delivery through digital product adoption and utilization.
- Familiar with digital relevant technology, UX knowledge & principles, solution frameworks, programming languages, business modelling and project delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and change management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-cultural stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Strong story telling, presentation and visualization skills.
- English Fluency in speaking and writing is essential.
