About this role
Reporting to the Manager, Performance Engineering, the successful candidate will plan and execute performance assurance and savings verification activities for NORESCO’s portfolio of energy savings performance contracts projects throughout the United States. Responsible for tracking the performance of energy conservation projects, they will work with across the organization to successfully develop and implement measurement and verification plans, assess performance risks, and provide technical support for ongoing measurement and verification activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise data collection activities, including baseline measurement and initial performance monitoring of energy conservation measures.
- Work with project development teams to evaluate Energy Conservation Measures in order to develop baseline measurement and data collection plans.
- Assist with developing baseline regression models based on metered whole building energy use.
- Create project and measure specific M&V approaches with Project Development teams based on customer requirements and scope of project, and translate those approaches into a detailed measurement and verification plan.
- Assist with budget development and resource forecasting for M&V activities during project development and construction, and the performance period.
- Coordinate installation of metering, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems required to measure and monitor project and ECM performance with Design and Construction teams.
- Conduct post-installation M&V activities in collaboration with Construction and Commissioning teams to demonstrate that projects perform as intended, and estimate first year savings based on the results.
- Develop savings calculation, performance monitoring, and reporting templates for ongoing M&V activities. Work with Engineering Technology Solutions team to automate ongoing analysis and report tasks.
- Work collaboratively with Performance Period M&V Team to transition projects after acceptance, review verified savings calculations annually, and troubleshoot performance issues as needed.
- Ensure detailed M&V plans are technical feasible and cost effective while complying with customer and NORESCO requirements.
- Review baseline energy use and assumptions and estimates used in savings calculations.
- Working M&V Specialists and Analysis Engineers, evaluate performance risk for proposed ECMs and M&V approaches.
- Review post-installation reports for accuracy and compliance with M&V plans and contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, STEM degree preferred.
- 5 + years of Engineering Experience

- PE or CMVP
- Experience in performance contracting

Pay Range:
